The last week of September was Homecoming week at the high school. Macie, being in drill team, was super involved. On Monday they danced at the Homecoming assembly.
All week long they had themes of what to wear each day. They also had different activities going on at the school. One day was pj day and Macie and her friends wore onesies to school. One night they watched a movie in the parking lot.
On Thursday night it was the Fire pep rally. The drill team danced. Then the football players got torches and they all marched down to the bonfire. It was a fun night.
On Friday morning was the Homecoming Parade. The Selgaes and other clubs had floats. On a fun note, the elementary school had a float. Mckenna and Callie were both on it because they completed the summer reading challenge.
Friday night was the football game. Macie was involved in the flag ceremony. She also did a side line dance and two dances at halftime. The boys made the week a success by winning 59 - 0. I am so glad that Macie has been so involved all week. Its been fun to experience this with her.
The last weekend of August was the 2nd home football game of the season. Macie did the flag ceremony with the other officers at the beginning of the game. Then they danced at halftime and looked awesome! It is so fun watching her and being so involved with the high school!!
The 2018 first home game was the Friday after school started. It was so exciting to go and know that my daughter would be participating! Macie is the secretary of the drill team, so as an officer she gets to participate in flag ceremony at the football games. It was exciting to see her to that. It was fun watching her dance. I was so proud of her and the whole team. They looked great! And to make the night even better, the boys won! Exciting times!!
Back to school time has come again! This year Macie is a high school freshman, Connor 6th, Mckenna 2nd, and Callie Kindergarten. They were a little bummed summer was over, but also a little excited to start this new adventure with new teachers. Callie didn't actually start the same day, she started a week later. Macie danced with the drill team in the opening assembly at school. They all enjoyed their 1st days!
Tyson and I have been married for 13 wonderful years. We are the proud parents to a daughter, Macie, who is 9,a son Connor who is 7, Mckenna who is 3, and our newest addition Callie who just turned 1. We also have a son waiting for us in Heaven.
