First Day of School 2014

Wednesday was the first day of school.  On Tuesday night we went to back to school night.  The kids got to see where their classrooms were and meet their teachers.  Wednesday morning was filled with excitement and butterflies!

I cannot believe I have a middle schooler!  Macie is in 5th grade this year and her teacher is Mrs. Beeston.  She is super excited to be in a new school!

Connor is in 2nd grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Monroe.  He was very excited as well.

They both came home from their first day very happy and excited for a new year of school!

Macie turns the big 10!!!!!

On Thursday my baby girl turned 10 years old!!  I really can't believe it.  It seriously feels like I just had her, the time has gone by so incredibly fast.  She makes me so proud.  She is smart, creative, beautiful, and a great big sister.  I am so grateful she is my daughter.  

On the morning of her birthday she had art camp.  After she was finished with that we decided to go up to Copley's and have a picnic.  The kids were all super excited about that.

That evening we had a little family get together for cake and ice cream.  Macie wanted a Frozen cake this year.  Unfortunately it wasn't very fancy but she seemed happy.  She got a shirt, jacket, book, and the thing she had been asking for a camera!  She also got some nice cards and money!

Macie, I hope that you had a great birthday.  We sure do love you and are so happy you are in our family!!!

Cove Fort Days

For the 2nd year in a row we went to Cove Fort Days.  The kids loved it last year and we decided to go again especially since its so close.  Last year we rode on a wagon and this year we went in the stage coach.  We walked through the fort.  We walked around the grounds and looked at their amazing garden.  It was a fun afternoon!
