8 Months Old!!

Holy moly....Callie is 8 months old (as of yesterday)!!!  Seriously I can't believe it!    She is still a whiny baby and pretty much only loves her mama, but she definitely has her happy moments!  She is so sweet and I love her to pieces!  She has learned to do some new things in the last month.

*She can pick up puffs but can't quite get them into her mouth
*She loves to stick out her tongue
*She sticks out her tongue and blows bubbles
*She is saying mama even when she isn't crying!
*She is starting to babble
*She is rolling everywhere!  She can get across the room in no time flat!

She is sitting up a little bit better but isn't quite doing it all by herself yet.  I am in no rush for her to do these things though.  She can stay a baby for as long as she likes!  I love her so much and I am so glad that she is my little princess!  Here she is in pics!!

St. George

Last Saturday Ty and I decided to take the kids to St. George for 2 nights.  He missed his day off during the week so miraculously got 2 days off in a row! We left Saturday afternoon after Ty got off work.  We got to St. George and checked into our not so fabulous hotel.  We went and ate and then surprised the kids by taking them to the hotel pool.  Well it sucked! It wasn't even heated.  Macie got right in and swam.  Ty got in with the other kids.  They swam for a little bit but were soon freezing.  I couldn't even get the baby in.  I stuck her feet in for a second but that was it.  Then we went back to our room and settled in for the night.

Saturday we got up and went to breakfast.  Then we went to the St. George temple grounds.  The temple looked so beautiful.  The kids were super excited to check it out.  We went into the visitors center and looked around.  We watched a movie.  We saw a ton of Book of Mormons in all different languages.  It was really interesting.  The kids also saw the statue of Christ.  Beautiful.

Next we went to the Jacob Hamblin home.  It was fun and interesting.  We went to the Johnson Dinosaur museum.  It was fun to see all of the different tracks and interesting things they have found right in St. George. (I have no idea why we have no pics of either of these oops!)

We had a fun picnic in the park.  Then we decided to do a little bit of shopping.  We went back to the room to rest and feed the baby.  Then we told the kids to put on there swimsuits.  They were confused because we don't let them swim on Sundays.  But we decided to take them to the Splash pad.  They LOVED it!  I wish we had one closer to us.  It was so much fun and they had a ball.  After we had dinner and just relaxed in the room.

Monday we got up and did a little more shopping.  Then we headed home.  We stopped in Cedar City and went to the Iron Mission State Park.  It has a new name now but I can't remember it!  There were alot of neat old things to see, including a wagon the kids got to sit in.  We also stopped in Beaver for ice cream cones and a picture in the giant rocking chair!

We had such a great trip together as a family.  It was so nice to get away and spend some quality time together.  Too bad it always ends way to fast!

Giant Cookie Time!!!!

In the grand tradition of things at our house, Callie finally got her big cookie!  I think this was the biggest one yet!  It was so big it cracked in half.  She was a little overwhelmed by it and it took some coaxing to get it into her mouth.  But once she got the hang of it she loved it!
