Camping Fun

Fair Warning....there is humongous picture overload coming up!!!!!

Ty's boss could finally see how stressed out my poor hubby was and gave him a long weekend off!  I knew I needed to get him away, buy of course the funds are low...so I decided we could go camping (which is not my fave thing to do especially with a baby!).  My parents thankfully agreed to let us use there camping trailer.  We headed up Kanosh canyon Thursday and came home Saturday.  We had a great time (although it rained).  The kids had fun and were very good.  Mckenna did awesome and even slept in the pack n play.  Connor was totally in his element.  He loved doing everything his dad did.  He kept telling Ty that they needed to go scout for animals (this child has read the Little Jake books too many times!!).   It was so fun just to be with our little family.  We made smores, played games, walked, goofed off, and even snuck in a few movies!!  We made some great memories!

~Independence Day~

We had a great 4th of July.  We went to Fillmore in the morning for the big parade.  I thought the parade was pretty lame this year...although its never super great.  But the kids enjoyed it and that's what matters.  After the parade we went in to the park and had lunch.  Then we went to some of the booths and played some games.  The kids had fun.  Later we went to great grandma Framptons and played with all the cousins.  It was fun and its fun to see the kids get reacquainted and play together.  We ate BBQ hamburgers and visited and had a great time.  Later that evening Ryan and Cindy entertained us with a great fireworks show and snaps...which made the kids so happy!  Then we watched the big fireworks show.  It was alot of fun.


This is my attempt at a fun patriotic hairdo!  Its kind of wild but Macie thought it was fun!

7 Months Old

On Sunday Mckenna turned 7 months!  I can't believe it.  She is so much fun and we love having her in our home.  She is still not sitting on her own but is going longer periods of time by herself.  She can roll her way across any room and gets on her hands and knees and rocks...but no crawling.  She has tried several new foods but isn't too terribly crazy about any of them.  She loves puffs though!  She went to the doctor a few days ago for a fever (which turned out to be nothing) and she weighed 18 lbs!  I love every inch of her chubbiness!!! 

Red Licorice!!

I have had the hardest time getting Mckenna to try anything.  We have tried suckers, Popsicles, Cheetos, and licorice and this child will not open her mouth.  I knew her gums were bothering her and I tried giving her a Popsicle.  She cried!!  So tonight after she ate a little bit of dinner I put this licorice on her tray.  She picked it up and went to town!  She loved it.  She even shared with Connor.  The last two pics are when  I took it away because she was starting to get chunks in her mouth.  Don't you just love the bottom lip....she has been doing that since she was born!

It's a Tradition....

Mckenna finally got her big cookie!!!  Tyson makes a giant cookie for all of our kids when they are babies.  Last night we gave Mckenna hers.  She loved it!!!  She was sucking on it....when  she started getting big chunks I had to take it away from her and she was ticked off!  My poor little girl has been fevering the past few days and was finally feeling a little better last night.  I think she may be getting a tooth!  She sure enjoyed her cookie though!!
