Great Brain

Macie was able to do a Great Brain project this year.  She chose to do it on the Netherlands.  She was super excited to learn about the country where her grandpa was born.  She did a great job and learned alot of interesting things about Holland.  Thanks to Aunt Ashley we had wooden shoes to show and yummy stroopwafels to feed everyone in her class!  Great Job Macie!!!

And of course Blogger won't upload the video I have of her giving her report.  Grrr.....

6 Months!!!

Tuesday marked 6 months that this gorgeous little girl has been in our lives!!  I can't believe it!  Time is going by way to fast.  She still has all of her hair!  It has thinned a little bit but she definitely still has a full head of hair.  We get complemented on it everywhere we go.  New things she is doing:
*More vocal
*Eating solids and she loves them!
*Manipulates toys in her hands so well and gets them to her mouth
I bragged too much about her sleeping last  month because she is now waking up multiple times again.  And she will nap no where but my arms.  If I could get the sleeping thing better I would be lots happier and so would she!!  I sure love this little girl.  She makes me so happy!!

Easter

The kids all got new church clothes for Easter.  I loved the girls stripy dresses.  And Connor looked so handsome in his new suit.  The Easter bunny made a visit and left some fun things and lots of sweets!!

Most Creative Egg in the kindergarten!!

Connor had an assignment to decorate an Easter egg for school.  He decided that he wanted to glue pom poms on the egg and I said oh to make it a lamb?!  And he said no to make it a bunny!  So everything that we did to the egg was his idea.  He was so excited when he came home from school and he had won for most creative egg!  I was very proud of him!

Mmm...Sweet Potatoes

On the 20th Callie had her first taste of solids.  I tried really really hard to wait until she was 6 months old.  But she was showing all the signs of being ready.  She would watch us eat and you could tell she wanted some too.  After some encouragement from Ty and my mom I finally gave in and let her eat.  I skipped baby cereal because honestly my babies have never eaten it well at all.  We dove right in to sweet potatoes.  Oh my goodness....she LOVED them!  She opened her mouth and ate a lot more than I expected her too.  She has since eaten squash and bananas.  She really enjoys dinner time!

Sledding

In January (I know I'm way late), Ty took the kids sledding up June hill in Meadow.  They had a great time.  They came back wet and cold, but were so happy.  What a super daddy!!!

Callie is 5 months old!!!

On Saturday it was Callie's 5 month birthday!  Wow its cliche but where did the time go?  I can't believe she is growing and getting big so quickly!  She is so stinkin cute and everywhere we go I get complimented on what a darling baby I have.  Everyone loves her hair!  She can be so happy and cute, but can be so whiny and grumpy in a matter of seconds.  Good thing I love her so much!!
Things she is doing:
*Grabs toys and puts them in her mouth
*Sleeps much better!  Only up about twice a night :)
*Rolls from her back to her belly
*She is not eating solids yet although her daddy and auntie try sneaking things in her mouth!
*Putting some weight on her legs
During this month she also developed this crazy rash to Pampers diapers just out of the blue.  So being the prissy girl she is she is now wearing Huggies.  Silly girl!

I love this girl and I'm so happy she is mine!
