**Sophie Lee Sams**
I am an aunt again! My baby sister Shelby gave birth to this beautiful little girl July 28th at 11:41pm. She weighed 7lbs 13oz and is 19 3/4 inches long. She has lots and lots of black hair and the most adorable chubby cheeks ever! Mama and baby are doing great!!! I am 10 hours away and I am absolutely in love with this little girl. I cannot wait to give her and her mama a big hug and kiss. Congrats Shelby and Taylor I am so so so happy for you. She is beautiful!

16 week Doctors Appt.
Today I went to the doctor for my 16 week prenatal appointment. I was supposed to go in on Monday but I have had some very light cramping for the past few days. I was also feeling very tender in my uterus so I called and my great doc got me in today! Everything looked really great. The baby was very active and had a great heartbeat. Not only did we get these great ultrasound pics, but we also got to listen to the heartbeat with the Doppler! It was so reassuring to go to the doc today. He chalked up my cramps to probably not drinking enough water and being dehydrated. The tenderness in my uterus is probably just from all the growing and stretching. I am feeling a lot more confident as times goes on. The next few weeks may be a little worrisome as this is when I found out about the one we lost in November. But I am trying to stay positive. I feel totally different this pregnancy than I did with the last. I was not feeling my uterus last time like I do this time. So that is definitely reassuring.
This first pic is the baby's head and torso. The far left is the face looking towards us.

The kids have been doing swimming lessons for almost 2 weeks now. Macie has turned into quite the little fish. She is doing so well. She jumps in and swims with her head under the water out to her teacher. She is even diving down and picking up rings from the bottom of the pool! This is Connor's first year and he has done great! The first week they played in the little pool. This week they ventured into the big pool. Connor was a little scared at first, but now he loves it!
