An Evening In The Canyon

On Sunday evening we decided to take the kids up the canyon and roast hot dogs.  They were so surprised and excited.  We had fun building a fire.  We did a little exploring and found a log someone made into a chair.  The kids thought it was neat and all had a picture taken sitting on it.  We ate hot dogs and made smores.  It was alot of fun just being out with the family.  Callie kept coming up to me and posing so I would take her picture.  And Mckenna was being wild on the way home and I snapped some crazy pic of her!

End Of Year School Program

Last Wednesday night was the end of year elementary school program.  It was just great as always.  Connor's 1st grade dance was to Dixieland and he danced with a girl.  It was super cute and he did a great job.

The 4th grade always gets to do the big finale dance and they get to turn out the lights.  This year they danced to Michael Jackson and it was awesome!  Macie got asked several times to demonstrate some of the moves to the other 4th graders.

They sang cute songs.  It was a really fun night.

And dang we didn't get a pic of Macie wearing her fedora!  She looked cute!!

Callie is 18 months!!!

 On the 16th Callie turned 18 months!  I can't hardly believe that she is already a year and a half.  She is so teeny tiny which is probably part of the reason it doesn't seem possible.  At her well child checkup she weighed 18.6 lbs. and is 31inches tall.  She is in the 0% for her weight.  She isn't even on the curve.  She is so small but fiery!  

Here are some fun things she is doing:

*Walking like a pro and practically runs wherever she goes!

*Screams mom to whomever's attention she is trying to get.

*Is saying a new word everyday!  She practically repeats everything I say.

*Loves jewelry, dress ups, and high heels!

*Went to nursery all by herself and no crying!

*Loves peekaboo and says peekaboo so cute!

*Loves to play outside, ride her bike, and use sidewalk chalk

This little girl is small but she rules the roost! She is so much fun to watch and seems to be learning something new every day.  I have so much fun being home with her and Mckenna all day.  Mckenna is teaching her all kinds of great things!  I am so blessed to have such a sweet little baby girl!

Easter 2014

Well we are super lame!  We didn't do anything for Easter.  I'm a horrible mother and didn't even have the kids color eggs.  On Friday we went to the Meadow Easter egg hunt.  The kids got a lot of candy and some fun little prizes.  

I didn't even take a pic of the kids with their Easter baskets.  They got some candy and they all got a book.  The girls got new flip flops and Connor got some cute little leather gloves.  They were very happy.

I did however take pics of the kids in their Easter clothes before church.  I posted all 4 that I took because it is so funny.  All of the pics are pretty cruddy.  Mckenna DID NOT want her pic taken.  So then Callie followed suit and didn't want her taken either. Oh man what a memorable pic this will be!

A bit of a catch up....

March has kind of been a slow month with not a lot of things to blog about.  But there have been a few fun things going on.

Connor's cute little school class was in the newspaper.  He has a fabulous teacher, Miss Weight.  She stresses reading so much.  They read so much in the month of February that's what the hearts are for behind them.  Connor's reading has just soared!  He is one of the top readers in his class and gets to bring home chapter books for his nightly reading.  I am so proud of him.  In all of his testing he is above average and is just doing so wonderfully.  I am so proud of him.

Macie is also doing fabulous at school.  She is above average in her testing as well.  She frequently brings home 95%-100% tests.  I am so dang proud of my kiddos!!

Callie is addicted to Popsicles!  I can't imagine how many more we will go through once summer hits!

A couple Saturdays ago Ty took the kids up to the lakes above Fillmore.  They played in the snow and had a fun time.  Then he took them to the park.  Mckenna LOVES swings and slides and every time she sees one she has to say can we go slide!

Callie's 1st Official Haircut

When Callie was around 8ish month I gave her a little trim myself.  She finally had her first official haircut the end of February.  She did pretty well.  She sat on my lap and was wiggly but that's to be expected!  I was a little sad to have it cut, but the sides were longer than the back and it needed to be evened out.  She really didn't have much cut off, and we gave her some bangs!  So here are some before pics:
