Mckenna....The Ham

Last night Macie dressed Mckenna in her old dance costume.  Mckenna loved it!  She kept bringing the crown to Macie and having Macie put it on her head.  She was cheesing at the camera.  It was so cute!

This is just a mixture of pics I have taken in the last week or so.
Mckenna now loves fry sauce!  Which reminds me I should have totally taken a picture of her dipping her fries and her messy pink face.  Anyway the other night she was pretending to dip this plastic watermelon and then she was feeding it to Connor.  It was so adorable.  It probably went on for five minutes, but of course when the camera comes out she doesn't really want to do it anymore!

 A couple nights ago Ty was getting the kids ready for a bath.  He walked down the hall and peeked into Macie's room where the radio was going.  He told me to come and look and this is what we saw.....3 dancing half naked kids!  It was so funny and cute.  But of course when they saw the camera they had to ham it up!

I HATE peanuts....

I never thought I would say I hated peanuts....well actually I hate there stupid allergy.  For 4 years I have been trying to teach Connor that he shouldn't eat anything anyone gives him unless its from a trusted source.  I have warned him that he needs to be careful about what he eats because it can make him very very sick. 
We crossed our first hurdle and he attended preschool two days a week.  It was super!  My confidence shot way up.  Then we crossed our second hurdle he goes to preschool 4 days a week.  The school was made peanut free which made me feel better but still scared to death to send my baby boy out into the dangerous world. 
He attended his first birthday party.  I went into the party and inspected all the food and found it perfectly safe for my little boy.  The party was only a few blocks away and Connor was a little nervous to go but so very excited.  He went and had a splendid time.
Yesterday he was invited to another birthday party.  I called the mom and she told me about the cupcakes and ice cream they would be eating.  Everything luckily was Connor friendly.  So I told Connor everything at the party is safe and I will even walk in with you and double check.  He wanted to go so badly because it was a friend from school and his cousin would be there too.  He was having the hardest time deciding if he was going to go.  When I finally asked him what was making him not want to go he said mom I'm scared of peanuts....  I told him that everything was fine and if he wanted to he didn't have to eat anything.  He started to cry and said mom I'm just too scared.
UGH.....makes me so so sad.  I want him to be able to enjoy life.  I want him to be aware that there are things he cannot eat but I don't want him to be afraid forever.  It just breaks my heart that he couldn't go to the party because he was scared of his stupid allergy.  I hope as he gets older as he understands it more he won't be scared.  So sad and frustrating...
Anyway things will be ok and we will make it through this stupid allergy and Connor will be fine.  I know that it hurt me lots more than him.  So here is a cute picture of my handsome little man....

Mckennas This and Thats

Since I don't do monthly updates for Mckenna anymore I thought maybe I should do a post to brag about the cute things she is now doing! 
*She walks like a pro now and she can get moving pretty dang fast.  She isn't running but I am sure she would love too! 
*She eats like a horse!  She will practically eat anything that I put in front of her.  She has to pack in the calories  because she is one busy girl and burns them off as quickly as she eats them.  We are still working on milk...not a huge fan even with chocolate in it.
*She has the shrillest scream you will ever hear!  If she is upset about something or just wants to be heard an ear piercing scream comes out of her mouth!
*When she sees something she wants she points her arm at it and waves her hand back and forth.
*She now has 4 teeth on top and 4 teeth on the bottom.
*She is completely weaned and will now sleep ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!  I think this is my favorite new accomplishment that she has!
*She loves to dance and has just started singing.  I noticed in church on Sunday when I was singing that she was singing too.  We got home and Macie was singing and she started in with her.

Ty made her another BIG cookie so here are a few cute pics of that!   

 This morning she was wearing a onesie, shirt, and slippers.  She looked so stinkin cute walking around bare legged in her slippers.  Of course she wouldn't stand still and let me get a picture but I got two of her sitting and one of her racing down the hallway as fast as she could.

Last Monday Connor was at a birthday party and Ty was working.  Macie and I decided to give each other manicures.  And we also painted Mckennas toes!

Connor's Birthday Bash

Connor has been counting down his birthday for well over a week.  He was soooo excited!  When I put him to bed the night before his birthday he was laying there giggling.  I asked him what was so funny and he said its my birthday tomorrow and I am so excited!
We let him open up a present before he went to school.  While he was at school he had a birthday hat, they sang happy birthday to him, and he got a new book from his teacher.  All afternoon he kept asking if it was time for his party.....he just couldn't wait!
Finally party time arrived.  He got super spoiled....ds game, Crayola glow board,  church clothes, money, outfit, semi, horses, and chaps!  He was very happy with them all.  He wanted his cake to be camouflage so I mixed up some cake mixes and for my first try it didn't turn out too bad.  He had a hunter and two deer on his cake.  Overall I think he had a pretty fun day!
I am so blessed to have Connor as my son.  He is such a sweet little boy.  I love him so much!!  I cannot believe that he is 5 years old!

My little man is 5!!!

5 years ago today I gave birth to the most amazing little boy!  Connor is such a smart, happy, full of energy, creative, imaginative, loving little boy.  He has been so excited for his birthday this year.  Counting down the days and just telling me how excited he is.  Happy Birthday little man!  I love you so much!!!!

Fish Face
