37 Weeks....

Well I am officially full term and officially have been pregnant longer than I was with Mckenna!  Yesterday I had a doctors appt.  I had been contracting off and on since Tuesday afternoon and my back was killing me plus tons of cramps.  So after our appt the doc sent us over for an NST.  He said are you seriously going to deliver an hour before your 37 weeks again!  I was sure hoping so!  I was on the monitors for about 2 1/2 hours and I was contracting every 4-6 minutes.  I was getting kinda excited because some of them were starting to hurt a little bit.  Last week when he checked me I was only softening and not dilated at all so I was super hopeful something good was happening with all the things I was feeling.  He came in and checked me and I was so disappointed to find out I was only dilated 1 cm :(  Booooo......  So I was sent home where shortly after the contractions were only coming sporadically and then stopped.  My back is still killing me and I am cramping so hopefully things are still progressing.  I wish my dang water would just break...lol...makes it so much easier!  So we have an appt made for next week unless something happens before then.  This is my self portrait from last week at 35w 6d.  I haven't taken a 37 week pic yet but will soon.

34 Weeks

Wow! I cannot believe that I am 34 weeks pregnant!  Honestly this pregnancy has flown by really fast for me.  It is kind of getting to the bitter sweet phase.  I am getting so uncomfortable.  My lower back and hips are killing me.  Trying to sleep and getting up to pee every 2 hours is getting really old.  I can't get comfortable.  Braxton Hicks have really picked up the past couple weeks and some cramping has joined them.  But on the upside this baby moves like crazy!  I love this part so so much.  I will miss it.  This is probably the last baby for us and I am trying really hard to enjoy this pregnancy and remember all the wonderful things that come along with it....like feeling the baby move.  But I am getting so uncomfortable that I am ready to have this baby in my arms.  It makes me sad to know that this is probably our last delivery.....the best part of pregnancy.  When that new sweet baby is laid on your chest.....I just hope that after its all over I feel comfort and peace and know that these are the 5 little spirits I was to bring into the world and our family is complete.

We had a doctors appt yesterday and things are great.  Every time we have the ultrasound this baby lets us see his/her face so perfectly!  I am in love with this sweet little face and can't wait to see it on the outside!

I am finally feeling a bit more prepared for this baby to make his/her debut.  On Thursday Ty got out the pack and play and rearranged our room.  We pulled out the bouncy chair, blankets, burp clothes, and his/her clothes to get washed and ready.  Things are coming together it just doesn't seem real to me.

I am feeling more drawn towards boy things then girl things.  So I guess maybe I am leaning more towards this being a boy.  But it honestly doesn't matter....but Connor would sure be happy!

As far as old wives tales predicting boy or girl here are a few:

*Heart rate above 140 = girl.  This baby's heart rate is always above 140 so it says we are having a GIRL

*Carrying low and smaller = boy.  I definitely feel like I am carrying low so this one is BOY

*Mayan says mom age at conception and year of conception even # girl  I got an odd number so this says BOY

*Lots of acne = girl   I haven't had any acne BOY

*Salty cravings = boy and sweet cravings = girl  I have had both!  Salted nut rolls are sweet and salty so this one is a toss up!

*Gregorian calender which takes mothers birth year and baby's conception year says GIRL

*Gender predictor quiz online asking 15 different questions says BOY

*Chinese baby gender chart says BOY

*Baking Soda Test  You put baking soda in a cup and add some urine  If it bubbles like soda pop then its a boy nothing happens its a girl  Mine says GIRL

Only time will tell how accurate this gems are! I tried to upload a pic of me at 34 weeks but you lucked out and it wouldn't load!

Baby Update

On Friday the 10th we had our 30 week doctors appt.  I have only gained 3lbs this whole pregnancy so that makes me super happy!  This baby moves around like crazy, especially when I am lying on my side.  When Dr. Brown put the ultrasound wand on my belly the baby was yawning so so big and sticking his/her tongue in and out of his/her mouth!  It was so precious!!  I cannot believe I am starting to go to the doc every 2 weeks now.  As of yesterday I have 9 weeks left.  This pregnancy has flown by!  But unfortunately the 3rd trimester exhaustion has set in big time.  I am also having some nerve issues on my right side....don't know if it sciatica or what but its driving me nuts.  I cannot wait for this baby to be born!

Here I am yesterday at 31 weeks!

Back To School....

I cannot believe that the new school year is starting all ready!  Yesterday was the annual back to school breakfast.  Macie's first day was yesterday.  I can't believe she is in 3rd grade!  She was super excited because she finally gets her own desk this year!  We went and found Connor's classroom and met his teacher.  He had his first day of Kindergarten today.  He was a little nervous, but has lots of friends in his class and I'm sure will have a super day.  Can't believe how my kids are growing up!

Macie's Birthday Week

Macie turned 8 on Tuesday.  We just had fun as a little family on that day.  She opened her presents and got a girls doodle book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies 1 and 2 (she loved the books), an awesome bat girl nightgown from Connor, and a personalized scripture quad and carrying case.  She seemed happy with the presents she got.  We had pizza for dinner then watched the first Wimpy Kid movie.  For her cake she wanted her dad to make an Oreo cheesecake.  It was yummy.  I think that she had a fun day.

Macie was Baptized and Confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday the 11th.  She has been so so excited for this special day.  She looked so pretty and was just glowing!  We had a beautiful program and her dad was able to Baptize her and confirm her.  I am so thankful for this!  It was a beautiful and special night.
After the Baptism we had a bbq at the park in Meadow.  We ate lots of yummy food and visited with family.  It was a perfect day.

I am so proud of Macie and her decision and pure joy of being Baptized.  She is growing into a beautiful young woman.  I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that she is 8 and baptized and growing up!  I love her so much and I am so proud to be her mom!
Thanks to everyone who traveled to be here for her special day.  It meant alot to us all to have so many family members attend!!

Soccer

My little man is a soccer player!  He is so aggressive and plays so hard.  Last night was the last game of the season.  Connor scored 4 goals!  He played so great.  His team was Fire and Ice.  It has been so fun going and watching him play.  He is a great little athlete!

White Mountain

We took the kids out to white mountain to play in the sand.  They loved it!  They went up and down the hill and got sand on every ounce of there bodies!  We also did some target shooting.  Connor loves to "hunt" and so this made him extra happy.  Macie had a turn and Mckenna wasn't going to be left out so she had a turn too.  After we drove over to the lava rocks and the kids picked out there own rocks.  It was a fun afternoon.
