Connors Teeth

We had a dental adventure on Friday.  Connor is my super gaggy kid.  He had a couple cavities and when our regular dentist tried to fix them Connor gagged so much that they couldn't do it.  The dentist thought it would be best for us to take him to be sedated so that we could keep our dental office a positive place.

So on Thursday afternoon Connor, Callie, Ty, and I went to Cedar City.  We did some shopping and ate Panda.  Yum!  Connor had a fun evening and was super excited to sleep in  hotel.  He has had a super wiggly front tooth for a few weeks now and we kept telling him he needed to pull it out or the dentist would.  He finally let me pull it out Thursday night.  He looks absolutely adorable and the tooth fairy found him!

Connor couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight.  We got up Friday morning and headed over to the dentist, his appointment was 8am.  We went to Cedar View Pediatric Dentist office and it was decorated so cute and child friendly.  They weighted him and then they took him back to see the dentist for a little check up.  Then he came out and drank some medicine to help him sleep.  He started feeling sleepy after about 10 minutes.  The nurse came out and picked him up and he hugged her and had this huge cheesy grin on his face!  It was funny.

He was probably back there about 25 minutes and they came and said we could come back.  The dentist said that he slept through the whole thing.  He also said that he is one of the gaggiest kids he has ever seen.  He was even gagging in his sleep.  They ended up filling 2 cavities and putting a cap on one.  When we walked in he was just starting to wake up.  He was super groggy and was kind of crying.  I picked him up and started carrying him out and he threw up on my shoulder.

Then we walked out to the car. He was crying the whole way and was saying monster, monster.  It was so sad.  It made me feel so bad.  Then we buckled him in and he told Tyson that he was the king of the monsters.  Then we started driving and he was still pretty out of him.  He was telling me that he was the king of the penguins and that he was the king of the giraffes.  He mentioned being king of the penguins several times.  It was so dang hilarious.  Then he was flapping his arms and saying he was a flappy bird.  Ty and I were laughing so had.  I recorded him on my phone but the dang thing didn't work.  I was so mad.

Then he was obsessed with his hands.  He kept saying he had 84 fingers and he would just study his hands.  He told me I had 4 eyes and 2 phones.  It was so funny so see him so out of it.  When he stared coming more out of it we asked him what he remembered and it was nothing!

I am glad he was able to have a positive dental experience but it cost way to much money.  His brushing habits are making a major change!  He has sure been gung ho about it though.

We had a fun night with him though and a hilarious morning!

Panties for 3 weeks!!!!!

I am finally happy to announce that Mckenna has been diaper free during the day for 3 weeks!  I am soooo happy and seriously never thought the day would come.  She just didn't care!  She has been doing really great.  I am so proud of her!

Here she is with The Little Mermaid and King Triton she got to pick when she pooped in the potty.  We are still working on that but so far she hasn't had any accidents in her panties.

And for fun here is Callie modeling Mckenna's panties.  She loves to pick a pair to wear when Mckenna does!

Connor turns 7!!

Connor's birthday was on Saturday this year.  For some reason my children think they need to open up a "morning" present.  Connor's was the camo John Deere hat he is wearing.

In the afternoon we had a little family party.  Connor got super spoiled!  He had asked Santa for a xbox for Christmas and he didn't get it.  But his dad and I came through and got it for him.  He was so excited, surprised, and happy!  He also got a couple games, another controller, and a Green Bay Packer hat.

Connor had a nerf cake this year.  Jenny did an amazing job!  Well he saw it he said whoa awesome!  It was super cute and it tasted as good as it looked!

I am so grateful to have Connor as my son.  He is such a good, kind, smart boy.  I cannot believe he is 7!  Happy Birthday buddy!  I love you so much!!!!

Super Random!

So I wanted to post some pics I've taken on my phone. They are cute but super random!

Here are some of Mckenna and Callie playing.

Callie eating and enjoying herself in our bed at the hotel!

Mckenna started doing Callie's hair one night.  She loved it.  She had oodles of flowers in her hair!

Callie our little climber!

Mckenna, Callie, and I went and had lunch with my mom at work last week.  All Kenna wanted was this chocolate pie!

Family Home Evening fun!

Callie absolutely adores Hank!  She says Hi everytime she sees him and waves wildly.  She kisses him and hugs him.  It is so sweet!

Mckenna loves her princess dressups!

In December I got to go to Macie's class and help with a Christmas party  It was alot of fun.

My little girlies love it when Great Grandma is home!

**LASIX**

The moment Ty has been waiting for, for years!  It finally came!!!!  On the 9th we went to Davis Vision Center and he got LASIX done.  He was so excited and I think I was more nervous than him.  It seriously took about 5 minutes and he was done.  I was able to watch the whole thing and it was pretty cool.  I saw them cut the flap and lift it up. It was crazy!

His recovery was awesome and he never had any pain whatsoever. When he woke up the next morning he kept saying how crazy it was that he could see so clear.  At his checkup he was 20/15 in both eyes!  Its been alot of eye drops and crazy plastic eye pieces at night but I think it was totally worth it for him.  I am so glad that he was able to have it done.  Yay for being able to see!!!!!!

Christmas *2013*

Finally getting to Christmas!  This year we decided to get a real tree.  It wasn't the prettiest tree we've ever had but it sure smelled good!  Callie did better with it than I anticipated.  She pretty much left it alone except occasionally when she would pull off an ornament or two that was in her reach.

On Christmas eve we told the kids they couldn't wake up until 7am.  Well at about 6:55 all 3 kids are standing by my bed saying we've been waiting 15 minutes and its only a little early.  Can we please open our presents!  We were so proud of them for being so patient.
When we walked into the living room Santa had left 4 huge bean bag chairs.  All the kids ran to the ones that they wanted.  The kids got some great stuff.  Here are some highlights:

Macie got an Ipod, girl nerf gun, books, and a doll
Connor got an Ipod, nerf gun, legos, and play station games
Mckenna got a kitchen set, leap pad, and an Ariel doll
Callie got Violet the puppy, little people house, and a rocking horse

They got some fun stuff and were really happy.  Santa asked mom and dad to buy the kids Ipods.  Mom and dad made a deal and bought some older used ones that were still in excellent shape.  When the kids went to play them alot of the games already on them wouldn't work.  So we did some playing around and tried downloading new games and they wouldn't work.  So we had to explain to the kids that Santa asked us to do one thing and it didn't work out the way we planned.  So we ended up buy the kids tablets to make up for the not so great Ipods.  Lucky ducks!

Christmas this year was great.  We went to my moms for lunch and just hung our for a while with the family.  Here is a huge photo bomb!!!
