So Mckenna wanted a new do....

On Monday Callie and Mckenna were cutting, coloring, and gluing.  Mckenna went into the bathroom and Ty went to see what she was doing.  Callie came and said Mckenna cut her hair.  Callie says I told her not to, but she did.  When Ty got Mckenna to open the door he asked if she had cut her hair.  She said no.  Ty said why is there hair on your shirt and she was still adamant that she had not cut her hair.  Well the left side of her head was  about 2 inches shorter than the rest of her head!
Oh my goodness, Ty and I were so mad.  As you can tell by the first picture she was not happy.  My hairdresser was in Hawaii and couldn't do anything for us until the next evening.  Luckily everything turned out wonderfully.  Mckenna needed a good haircut anyway, and I love her in these cute little bobs.  It worked out and she has even decided that she likes it.
We had a long talk with Callie about never cutting her long  beautiful hair.  When I was taking Kennas pic, Callie wanted a pic of her hair too.  As you can see it is super long.  If she ever whacked her off I would be devastated!

RANDOM!!

I have a few random pics that I wanted to post from the past couple weeks.

Macie has entered 6th grade, which living in Fillmore means 6th grade choir.  This was their first performance.  It was at the Art and Living history festival in Fillmore last Friday.  They sang 3 songs and sounded really great.  Its going to be a fun year!

We have entered the fantastic world of potty training with Callie!  This is my absolute most unfavorite part of parenting.  Hopefully she catches on quickly and we can get rid of diapers!

Connor had pack meeting and received some awards.  He is getting really close to finishing his Wolf!

Tyson had a mishap at the junk and lost his rake in the dumpster.  I was laughing at him because he had to dumpster dive to get it out!

Yesterday Callie was playing on the couch and I looked and saw her wearing the sunglasses and headband. I snuck a picture and then a few minutes later she wanted me to take a pic!

SoCcEr!!

My boy of many sports wanted to play soccer this year since he missed it last year.  As always he is a rockstar and more than once saved the team by scoring the winning goals!  I am so proud of him and how well he plays.  He has improved since the last time he played.  It was a short season but fun.  Now on to football!

School is back in Session!

Macie and Connor started school on Wednesday the 19th.  They were excited.  Macie is in the 6th grade and her teacher is Mrs. Starley.  Connor is in the 3rd grade and his teacher is Mrs. Allen.  They were both happy when they got home and said they enjoyed their teachers.
On the 20th Mckenna had her first day of preschool.  Her teacher is Mrs. Monroe.  She rode the bus up with the kids and then Ty and I met them at the school.  We walked her in and she was pretty hesitant.  She started to cry a little and Mrs. Monroe just took over and we left.  On her bus ride home she was anxious and cried the whole way.  But when we got home and talked about it, she was excited to tell me the things that she had done.  She didn't have to go back to school until Monday.  On Monday I couldn't get her to even get out of the car to get on the bus.  So I drove her to school.  She was crying when we got out and didn't want to go.  I walked her into her classroom and she cried and cried.  Mrs. Monroe picked up her and I left.  She came home very happy and excited to tell me the things that she had done.  Mrs. Monroe text me later that day and said that she had been fine.
This morning I put her on the bus crying and unhappy.  I sure hope that Connor got her to her class okay.  I guess we will see later how it all went down.
I'm hopeful (and everyone tells me) that it will get better, and soon there will be no fuss.  I surely hopeso because its heartwrenching.

Macie turns 11!

Macie turned 11 on Friday.  On Thursday she had a friend parry at the swimming pool.  She had fun with her friends and got some fun gifts.  On Friday evening we had a little family party.  Macie got money, scarves, Green Bay jersey, and a new tablet and case.  She was super excited.  I think she had a pretty great day.
I cannot believe that she is 11 and will be starting 6th grade next week!  Time flies.......
