Pregnancy Update....

I went to the doctor today and everything looked great!! The baby has flipped and is now head down and ready to go (hopefully he/she will not turn again before delivery!). All along the placenta has been anterior and very low, partially covering my cervix. From the little ultrasound in the office Dr. B thinks that I am in the clear, but I get to have a big ultrasound next week just to make sure my cervix isn't being blocked by the placenta. So hopefully things are well that way....I really don't want a C-section! But all in all baby looked great!

I am finding it very bittersweet to be in the 3rd trimester all ready! I am sooooo ready to hold this baby in my arms and love it to pieces. But at the same time I am going to be sad that the pregnancy is over. This has been the most stressful pregnancy I have ever had just with all the worries that came from the last pregnancy. But as Ty and I were lying in bed this morning I was thinking how blessed I am. I was lying on my side and Ty had his hand on my belly and the baby was doing acrobatics in there!!! We were both in absolute awe of all the movement and the sweet miracle of life! Pregnancy is such a miracle and a blessing. I am so thankful things have gone well and this baby seems to be happy, healthy, and very active. I guess all in all I am feeling incredibly blessed in my life right now!

Jury Duty

So I suppose I should consider myself lucky that it hasn't happened before now, but about 1 month ago I received a summons for jury duty. Everybody I talked to said, "every time I have had to do it, the case is resolved and I never have to go." So all last week I anxiously awaited a phone call from the court saying never mind....case has been settled! I waited and waited and by Friday evening no phone call :(
So Monday morning Connor went to play at grandmas and I went to Delta. I went in and there were about 10 of us potential jurors. The judge came in and explained that this was a DUI case and he was going to only need 4 jurors. He was going to asked us a series of questions and then he along with the attorneys would narrow it down to only 4. I felt a little more relieved after that because I thought what are the odds they will keep me. I am a big pregnant hormonal lady...they have to send me home! So after about an hour of instruction and questions they read the names of the 4 jurors they would be keeping for the trial. Guess whose name was #3???? MINE!!! I couldn't believe it. So I was thrown into the judicial system for the first time and had no clue what to expect.
We heard about 2 1/2 hours of testimony, then we were released for lunch break. When we got back we heard about an hour of instruction and closing statements. We were then sent into the jury room to deliberate and come to a guilty or non guilty verdict. I believe we deliberated about 15-20 minutes and came up with our guilty verdict. We were led back into the courtroom where our foreman read our verdict to the court. Then we were thanked for taking the time to be there ( like we even had a choice! ) and we were excused to go home. So I believe including drive time that burned up about 8 hours of my day! I guess I will see if the paycheck is worth it! HAHAHA!!!
So all in all it was interesting to see the real judicial system in action. But I feel like I have served my civic duty for the time being and hope to never receive a jury summons again!

Ladies and Gentleman; Boys and Girls........

On Saturday Tyson and I surprised the kids with a trip to the "Greatest Show on Earth"; Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circus! They were super surprised and I think really had a great time. My cute little family

Clowns entertaining the crowd

The brave tiger trainer

The awesome tight-rope walkers

There were 7 motorcycles in here driving at the same time!

I loved the elephants!

The baby elephant

I didn't take pictures of nearly half the stuff we saw. There were amazing body benders, trapeze, acrobats....everything! It was so much fun.

The kiddos ready for bed!!

We took the kids to Cabelas. Connor wanted a whole hunting outfit!

It was so much fun just spending the whole weekend with my little family. I wish we could do it more often.

Poll

So I thought it would be fun to post a poll about our baby. I am leaving the poll open until I am 38 weeks. You vote either boy or girl and I have also included a weight poll. If you think the baby will be 8 plus lbs or 8lbs and under. I am excited to see what everyone thinks!!

Floss After You Brush!!!

A few weeks ago our whole family went to the dentist. After our checkups the dentist gave us floss and told Macie how important it is to floss. Well she began flossing right away. Every night she flossed and every morning she would say: Mom did you and dad floss last night?? Well my always was always no, but I need too! After she got this answer several times Tyson and I found these signs hung up by our bathroom sinks! I sure hope we can remember to floss now!!

OB Appointment

Today was my OB appointment. I am 24weeks and 5 days! I cannot believe how fast it has gone by. Everything looks really great with me and the baby. The doc did the little ultrasound and the baby was very active and had its hands up by its face. We still did not find out the sex so we will still be getting our surprise! One thing....everyone send this baby good vibes because he/she is still breech! We still have some time, but I would feel lots better if he/she was head down and ready to go! This pic of me was at 24 weeks. I feel huge! I am so happy though and I am really enjoying this pregnancy!

{ 1st Day of Preschool }

Connor had his first day at Polka Dot Preschool with Miss Monica today. He was super excited to go. This morning he put his backpack right by the front door. When he got home he told me there were a lot of girls and him and Brayson! Its true.....there are 8 girls in his class! He said he learned about not fighting and there is a time out chair if you are naughty! He said school was great and he wants to go back!

I cannot believe my little man is big enough to go to school! It will be so great for him and I am super excited to see all the things he learns!
