Mckenna's 1st Thanksgiving

I tried to get a good picture of Mckenna on her 1st Thanksgiving and this is what I got!  She loved the sweet potatoes the best!  She is beginning to take a few steps on her own, but is still a little unsteady and unsure.

This morning Macie stuck this beanie on Mckenna and she wore it a good hour!

2 Years In Heaven

2 years ago today I gave birth to a precious sweet baby boy.  I can't believe its already been 2 whole years.  Today the wound has felt just as fresh as when he first left us.  Per tradition we all wrote him a note and attached them to five balloons.  Then we sent them off to him in Heaven.
I am so thankful to be the mommy of this little boy.  He has forever changed who I am.  He has forever changed my perspective on earth life and eternal life.  I love how excited the kids got when they remembered it was his angelversary and we were going to send him balloons.  This year I am also thankful that my little "rainbow" baby is here with me.  She has saved me.  She must really really miss him because her balloon was ahead of all of ours!
My sweet angel....mommy misses you so so much.  I love you forever and think of you every day.

Opportunity for learning and growth.....

A few weeks ago I was put in as the 2nd Counselor in the Primary presidency!  I was surprised and a tad bit (ok alot!) overwhelmed!!!  This is a bit out of my comfort zone.  But yesterday I got my first sharing time out of the way so I feel a bit more confident.  Now if I can get over some other hurdles: conducting, Christmas eve program, and Great to be 8 program worked out...I will feel alot better!!
I am truly grateful for this new calling and the opportunities its giving me for learning and growth!

Green Jello and Cool Whip

Yesterday I was feeding Mckenna jello with her lunch.  Ty decided to put a spoonful of it on her tray.  She loved it!  Then he thought it would be fun to spray cool whip on her tray.....which she also loved!  Although messy, she thoroughly enjoyed herself!

My Super Reader!!

This is kind of a brag about Macie!  She loves to read!  She read all summer long and yesterday at school got her certificate and became a member of the Royal Order of the Golden Chipmunk!  She also earned $15 bucks by completing all her summer reading.  We also just had parent teacher conferences.  On one of her reading tests the kids should be at a 57...well Macie was 125!!  I am so proud of her.  She is such an excellent reader and super smart student!!

On a side note we have been battling the devilish Rotovirus at our house.  I think that Macie and Connor had it for like half a day, but poor little Mckenna had it for 5 days!  She started with diarrhea for a couple of days and then for 2 days could not keep anything down.  She was one sick little girl.  It was horrible for the two of us.  My heart just aches when my kids are sick, but it seems so much worse for a baby and especially when you can tell she is so thirsty but every thing she drinks comes back up.  Thankfully we are all healthy and happy once again!

11 Months Old!!!

I cannot believe she is 11 months!!  Its getting harder and harder to have her sit still in the red chair....we didn't get very far today and she ripped off my sign!  This baby makes me soooo happy!!!  She is the happiest little girl.  I just love her to bits!
*She had her 1st Halloween....an adorable monkey
*She has her top left front tooth....the two to the right of it just barely popped through
*She loves her daddy!  She always says dadadadada and the second he gets home she wants him!
*She dances to music all the time.
*You ask her a question and she will shake her head yes....although I'm sure she has no clue what she is answering!
* She is an excellent little eater.
I think thats all the big milestones.  I swear she is just growing every single day.  I am so happy I have her!

My Little Spooks...

The kids had a great Halloween.  At school they had a carnival.  Then last night they went Trick or Treating and got tons of candy.  Macie has such a hard time deciding what she wanted to be this year.  She finally decided on looking like she just got out of bed.  Connor's choice was easy....Scooby dooby doo!  I really wanted Mckenna to be a pig, but logic told me to use the monkey costume I already had.  She made an adorable monkey!
